Wild Wire Quickdraw

Wild-wire QDs come in three lengths 10cm 4” / 15cm 6” / 20cm 8”and all on our classic 12mm Dyneema express slings (with Tadpole) which keep the bottom unit solidly held in the correct orientation. This was the first pair of krabs to get Wild Country's distinctive colourway of silver top and red bottom to define the clipping end against the bolt end. A practice we have continued to date as it allows the climber to make sure they keep any rough edges from bolt clipping away from the rope...
Weighing in at a very acceptable 93 grams / 3.28 oz for the 10cm this is a very good all around unit and is at a fantastic price.

Nitro Quickdraw

The Nitro is a beauty - a full size lightweight biner with a superb feel and pitch perfect performance.
The Helium is an exceptional biner…everyone tells us so! It feels great in the hand, clips superbly, and is still the world’s lightest true full size biner. In fact maybe the only criticism is that it’s incredible patented ‘no-hook’ nose makes it’s production an expensive business.
So the Nitro is a solution to that, it’s a Helium with a skinny hooded nose that’s easier to produce and comes at a way better price. And at only 35 grams it's a real contender on the shelf and on the rack.
The Nitro comes in three lengths of QDs that come on 10mm dyneema with Wild Country Tadpole 'o' ring to hold the biners in place. There are also great value sets of Biner 5 packs and Quickdraw 5 packs available.

Helium wire gate

When the Helium concept was initially launched a major focus was to make a wire gate but with none of the traditional drawbacks a wire has; that they can hook up on bolts or wires, can unclip more easily than snap gates, and are susceptible to opening if lying against the rock.

Ropeman

In only a few short years it is now the market leader, something which was not anticipated at the time of its release. What this seems to show is that climbers are willing to embrace new technology which is seen to give an instant and understandable advantage, and that dropping weight is the area which everyone understands. Simply if your rack is lighter, and your gear is the same strength, it should be easier to climb better.

However, difficult to produce at the time, combining dyneema and nylon in a weave that was predictable and reliable enough to give the ‘sewability’ required to make the three sigma target every time 12mm dyneema was first sold in 1999 and was both hailed as radical, as well as unfeasibly thin when first marketed. Indeed at first there were many sceptics who felt it was too thin and wouldn’t appeal to a public that was still mainly hooked on 19mm nylon.

Different materials have their advantages and disadvantages and Nylon tapes have a solidity and reliability second to none, with a longevity that will, in the main, outlast the thinner Dyneema tapes. Most obvious in these advantages is that the greater surface area will be more difficult to wear or abrade and therefore in the roughest situations, or over sharp edges, they will have more resistance.
